Pray, But Don’t Worry

Couldn’t catch a break on sad or bad news

Before one was resolved another cropped up

To the point where they started to linger on my mind

Then the Holy Spirit said “pray, but don’t worry “

In other words, pray sincerely that God will

Heal, deliver, or remedy the situation

But don’t let the situation occupy your mind constantly

In the Baptist church the Saints would say

“Take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there”

And in Luke 12:22-31, Jesus talks about not worrying

In 1 Thessalonians 5:7 it says pray without ceasing

This means constantly pray for issues and situations

But don’t worry about them.  God will take care of them.

For He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

Cast Your Burden Upon The Lord

The human mind tends to drift to worry
When faced with sudden or heavy adversity
Yet Jesus said He will take care of our needs
For His burden is light and His yoke is easy

So like the herdsman casts his burdens on the donkey
Lord, remind us to cast our burden on You
Help us to be, worry free
Because there’s nothing You can’t do.

Scripture reference – Matthew 11:30

When Will Enough be Enough

When will enough be enough?
Pray every day that this problem will go away
But it seems like it will stay
It plagues me night and day
How much more can I take?

Doesn’t God hear me? Doesn’t He care?
Sure He does
He said He won’t put more on me than I can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13)
He knows when enough is enough
So hang on in there.
