God Said Don’t Stress, Just Adjust

While Sitting getting a pedicure, I suddenly remembered that
I was supposed to pick up and drop off some groceries for someone later on today
I must have forgotten because my mind was focused on the full day I had
Scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday

So after leaving the shop I planned to go to the grocery store
But before I left the shop I got a text
I had totally forgot I was supposed to be at a wake later today
That makes two things I forgot about
So instead of going to grocery store, i headed to the wake

On my way to the wake, I get a text that my rep is almost at my house
to pick something up
That makes three things I forgot about
It like if I don’t put it in my phone ?
I won’t remember it now

The rep said they will come by Saturday
But I got a full plate Saturday
How will I fit them into my schedule?

Then the stress started to kick in
If I get one more text about something to do
I’m going to go off.
It seems as everything is piling up on me at once

As I got back in car God spoke to me
“Don’t stress, just adjust
It’s not mandatory you volunteer tomorrow
You could do that the following week
This will give you all tomorrow morning to relax
And meet the one person you missed meeting today “

What a great idea God
It’s not that my life is full of stressful things
I just needed to do a little schedule adjusting
Now I feel so much relieved
The Lord kept me in perfect peace.

Isaiah 26:3-4
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

Share Me (God Said)

I was in morning meditation
And thinking of all the good God has done for me throughout the years
And as I thanked a Him for this and thanked Him for that
I head His voice to say
“Share me”

He was telling me to share His goodness with others
Tell the world of all a His wondrous works
There’s someone out there suffering
There’s someone who doesn’t know that God is a healer, a deliverer
That He’s a problem solver and someone to talk to
And, He’ll walk through life with you

After all, if you ate in a restaurant and the food was delicious
Wouldn’t you tell others, so they can experience the goodness?
If you had good news like a job promotion, you’d tell everybody

The way I learned about God is someone shared Him
I would hear my relatives talk about how good He was
I didn’t know Him or have a relationship with Him
Until one day I prayed hard and asked Him to help me if He was real
He answered the prayer and, He proved He cared
So, it’s not enough for me to thank Him privately
He is to be shared.

Scripture Reference:
Psalm 105:10 Give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

It’s Just A $7 T-shirt

After going to many stores
I finally found the long sleeve t-shirt I’d been looking for
I don’t like having a lot of stuff around the house
So, my plan was once I found the long sleeve shirt
I’d give the similar short sleeve one away

But then I started thinking
I can take the old shirt and use it for a car wash cloth
Or some other cleaning purpose
But then I heard the voice of God say
“You still gonna give it away, aren’t you?”
My response:
But God, it’s nothing but a $7 t-shirt
His response:
That shirt could be exactly what someone else is looking for
You don’t know how it will bless someone else
And you said when you found the shirt you really wanted
You’d give the old one away

After this, two things came to mind
1) Obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22)
It is better to obey the voice of the Lord whether it makes sense or not
God can see into the future unlike us
And, He keeps His word with us, so we should keep our word with others

2) The adage that says:
One person’s garbage is another person’s treasure
Because something is no longer useful to you
Doesn’t mean it won’t be useful to someone else
That’s why people have yard sales
Something old and cheap
Could be what someone else needs
Even if it’s just a $7 t-shirt.
