Just A Touch Of Love

Just a touch of love
Does a lot to lift you up
To see a familiar face you haven’t seen in a while
Can really make you smile
Even a smile or greetings from someone never seen
Can make your heart merry
And don’t mention a hug
Nothing can heal like the human touch
One phone call can change your whole demeanor
And make the rest of your day more exciting and sweeter

The Bible states that love is the greatest gift (1 Corinthians 13:13)
Without it life is meaningless
As you can have health, wealth and all your desired things
But will still feel empty or unhappy
Without belonging to, or cared for by human beings
It’s God’s structuring (1 John 4:7-8)
And he loves each us unconditionally
So, express love today, it doesn’t have to be much
All it takes is just a touch.

Give Up

I’ve been at this for months
It’s a project to give praise to the Lord
But only a few people have I been able to touch
I want to reach many so much
But feel my efforts are for naught
So, when do I shut this thing down and give up?

Just as I thought to give up, I hear the Spirit’s voice
You give up when you can’t do it no more
When all mental and physical energy are gone
Otherwise
God will provide ideas and strength to move along
Don’t worry about numbers touched
Heaven will rejoice over just one (Luke 15:7)
So be not weary in well doing (Galatians 6:9)
God will give the increase in due season. (1 Corinthians 3:6)

Words and Relationships

Got to say something, words bottled up inside me
Can’t get any peace until they are released
Been wrestling for days on what to say
Wrong words can cause relationship strain
But the current situation has to change

So Lord, help me to think about what I say
Before I say what I think
Into me, let your words from Proverbs 21:23 sink
Let my words be constructive and bring positive change
Instead of being offensive and causing a relationship strain

Thank You for the Bible that teaches the power of the tongue
Not only we need to hoose good words, but also a good tone
For even right words can be spoken wrong
Kind words keep the relationship strong.
