Guilt Free Blessings

I asked the Lord for x amount
And He gave x, y, and z
He went over the top and blessed abundantly
Beyond my imagination or need

Yet, sometimes I feel this I should not receive
As my behavior has not lived up to heavenly
My mind drifts back to remember when I did this or that
Yet my sins the Lord forgave and remembers not (Isaiah 43:35)

Besides God like to give good gifts just for the asking (Matthew 7:12)
And He’s removed the sin as far as east coast from west
So, I should forgive myself
And enjoy guilt free all blessings I get.

Old Blessings Are Still New

Old blessings are still new
For over and over the Lord’s mercies renew (Lamentations 3:22)
The things I prayed for years ago are still needed today
Yet, for so many new things I have to pray
New illnesses, deaths in families, and on and on
I would be overwhelmed with a prayer list so long
But the Lord is so full of mercy
He knows my limitations, and renews old blessings constantly

Yet, my thanks and praises to him have not been consistent
I tend to thank Him for the blessings that are recent
However, the old blessings are still very much relevant
And, them I never want to forget or take for granted
So, every now and then, I make time to meditate and reflect
How difficult life would be if I had to deal with both new and old things
So, from the bottom of my heart I thank God
That His mercies renew and old blessings are still new.

Worrying

After the heated exchange
I worried if a positive relationship would remain
During the weekend, did no fun things
Just spent time worrying

Never mind Jesus said don’t worry (Matthew 6:34)
Didn’t think about how the Lord would fight for me
And that I should hold my peace (Exodus 14:14)
I just built anxiety on what happens Monday morning

So, Monday comes and before I confronted the situation
To my surprise it confronts me
With nothing but being warm and friendly
What a waste of time I spent with worries

Lesson learned, don’t just hear the word of God
Live it in your heart
Trust that you can cast your burdens upon Him (Psalm 55:22)
So, no need to spend time worrying
Thank you Lord for reminding me
About wasting time with needless worrying.
