Decisions Made

Sitting at the kitchen table
Where topics are discussed, and decisions made
Looking at an empty chair
I felt the presence of You sitting there

This got me thinking or caused a flashback
Of how through all these years and many tough times
You treated me special by showing unconditional favor and love
Whether I caused myself to fall or got knocked down
You always lifted me up

Like the time You settled the case before it went to trial
The time You healed when doctors couldn’t treat what they found
The broken relationships You allowed to be restored
The many infractions and sins committed that You ignored
The many ways You blessed financially
Time and time again, you responded to my pleas

Many decisions hade to be made by just me
many days of lonely
But You was always there
Providing guidance, love and care
Thank you, Lord, thank you Jesus for your mercy and grace
Thanks for helping me with decisions made.

O Taste And See

God has been good to me
That’s my testimony, my life story
Through many trials and difficulties
He’s come to the rescue, just in time of need
O taste and see, He is sweet
And I’ll trust Him in everything.

Scripture reference: Psalm 34:8 – O taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.

Feeling So Blessed Today

Feeling so blessed today
Got what I need
Most of what I want
Not enough thanks I can say
Not enough praise I can give
To thank the Lord for all His goodness

I just be in awe and wonder
Of how generous and merciful God is
He is great and compassionate
And he’s blessed me beyond what I could have imagined
I think back over situations I’ve been in
How my life was full of sin
But Jesus forgave again and again ( Psalm 103)

About many things I still have to pray
And life can bring new challenges any day
But today I’m experiencing peace and quietness
As today I’m feeling so blessed.

 

Insight
Psalm 103 gives us a wealth of information about how God forgives sins and has mercy and compassion on His children. There is no way I can pay God back for all His generosity and compassion for me. I just write about His goodness in effort to praise Him and to help others.
