Rejected Or Not Wanted

What is a more hurtful emotional feeling than the one of being rejected or not wanted?

It may leave you angry, but likely to leave you sad or dejected

It hurts deeply, and is difficult to overcome

And the feelings may last years or even a lifetime

And they may sever relationships and associations

And these feelings could happen in any setting

Work – rejected for promotion

Home – not feeling loved or wanted by family member(s)

Relationship – rejected by someone you had interest in

Friend – not getting an invitation to their important event

Or not being notified of something important in their lives

At some point in our lives, many of us will experience some type of rejection

And it may leave us with a lot of questions

Like are we good enough? What did we do to deserve this?

There’s no definitive answer.
The fact is no matter who you are

Everyone is not going to like you

But it would lessen the problem if there was more love amongst people

Like the Bible says in Chapter 1 John 4:7-9.

Scripture references:

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

It Feels Good To Be Loved

No calls or visits in awhile
No laughter hugs or smiles
Not that apart by many miles
So is being together on trial?

Nights and days pass away,
Without checking to see if everything OK
Wondering how long will this separation stay
The bonds of togetherness seem to be in disarray

Then all of a sudden out off the blue
The calls started coming through
It’s been awhile since we heard from you
I thought there was no care, but that was not true

And the spirits lifted and smile came to face
And joy was in and all over the place
Feeling loved and being a part
Lifts the spirits and makes merry the heart

Scripture references:
Colossians 3:14, And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

1 Corinthians 13:4, Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is
not puffed up,

1 Corinthians 13:13, And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Living With Remorse

If your heart is right
You will feel remorseful for any wrong you’ve done
But once you have asked for forgiveness 1
And changed your ways
Should you be living with remorse?
I don’t think so, especially if God doesn’t hold sin against you anymore 2

But sometimes the negative past creeps in your mind
And over and over replays your sin
Many times the past can’t be fixed
Yet, the mind wants to bring up bad memories and past enemies
Against this, what are the remedies?

Accept God’s forgiveness for your sins and then forgive yourself
Focus on life in the present and future
Remind yourself of the good deeds you’ve done
Engage in activities that bring you joy and laughter
Talk to someone about past mistakes if it’s therapeutic
And seek other things that will put living with remorse behind you.

Scripture references:
1 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
2
Jeremiah 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
