Jesus The Healer

This week the sick list is unusually long
It’s not just individuals but several members of families
Some cases so dire, they need the assistance of machines
No matter the illness, Jesus is the healer
And He can heal miraculously without medicine or surgery

No illness is too complex or deep
Jesus made the lame walk, the deaf hear and the blind see (Matthew 11:5)
And chronic illnesses can still be healed
Jesus cured the woman who suffered 12 years (Luke 8:43-44)
No number of patients is too many, the sick list is not too long
Jesus healed multitudes as He traveled along (Matthew 19:1-3)

Miraculous healing wasn’t just in biblical times
Jesus the healer, has been working continuously
I know this personally
I remember getting the devastating news
When doctors said there was nothing, they can do
For me it was so crushing and surreal to hear
Couldn’t believe there was no cure far or near
But I sang every church song I knew
From minute I woke, till I fell asleep
Prayed, O Lord, please have mercy and heal me
And day by day the illness began to go away.

Prayer
Lord, the sick list is long and extensive
But it’s not too long or complex for You
Miraculous healing is the specialty You do
So, the elders of the church, members and friends
Are calling on You
We pray for Your healing mercy to make our people well again.

In The Arms Of The Lord

In the arms of the Lord I want to be
He’ll provide comfort and peace
In the arms of the Lord I want to stay
I’ll be safe from any harm that comes my way

Life can bring troubles hard to bear
But Jesus can handle them, for He cares
When nothing goes right or as planned
And pressures start to mount too fast
In the arms of the Lord I want to crawl
He provides comfort from it all

Nothing’s too hard for Him, He reminds me
And He’ll work it out the way it should be
So, I’ll just relax and worry no more
I’ll be alright in the arms of the Lord.

The Worst May Be The Best

Major potential life changing losses seems near
Looks like for me 2020 gonna be one of the worse years
Then the Holy Spirit said to me
There’s more than half of 2020 remaining
How could you be declaring defeat?

What seems like the worst may end up being the best
Jesus said the first shall be last and the last first (Matthew 20:16)
The best may come out of the worst
You may finally get the blessing for so long you did thirst

Jesus also said it is not for you to know the times or seasons
Which the Father has put in His own power (Acts 1:7)
We don’t know what all will happen in a year, or even an hour
We do know weeping can endure during the night
And joy can come tomorrow (Psalm 30:5)
We know a loss at halftime can turn into the biggest comeback win
So, the worst may be the best; life’s shown it again and again.
