Forgiven But Not Restored

A broken relationship can’t necessarily be restored by asking a person to forgive you. They can say they
forgive you, but you may notice they don’t act the same with you. Sometimes the pain inflicted is so
deep, your relationship with them will not be restored.

What can be done in a situation like this? Who has a solution? What if it’s impossible to restore the
relationship due to the amount of time passed or the person has passed? Unlike the movies, life doesn’t
always have a happy ending. And some things you just have to accept.

Inflicting pain on another is wrong and sometimes it’s done inadvertently like saying something hurtful.
Other times it’s done without fully understanding the long term effects on another’s life. Whatever the
cause, a recognition of wrong doing should be made to God.

  1. And even though people may not forgive and be interested in restoring the relationship,
  2. you can take some comfort in knowing that God will forgive you and have a relationship with you
  3. And is capable of doing the impossible like restoring broken relationships.
