Pray until you get a breakthrough. Metaphorically, pray until the orange clouds break through the gray clouds. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17 the bible says pray without ceasing.
The push may be tough
Getting there hard to do
But I won’t give up
I’m gonna breakthrough
My prayers will not ease as on the Lord I lean and believe
That one day the orange will peer through the gray
As the clouds begin to separate
And in the middle of darkness I’ll begin to see
A breakthrough for me.
I woke up hungry
But thanks Lord these pains won’t persist in me
In my kitchen there’s food to eat
And lots of variety
It may seem I’m making big deal out of a typical thing
But for granted I take nothing
So whether it’s a Thanksgiving feast
Or just biscuits and coffee
Something previously had or a new recipe
Eating alone or with company
Fast food or home prepared
Thank You this day for my bread.
Scripture Reference: Matthew 6:11
Give us this day our daily bread is part of the prayer Jesus taught in Matthew 6:11 and it reminds me that daily food provisions come from God. It can be easy to take for granted that there is food in the house. But that can change very easily with the sudden loss of a job. Or sickness which will cause the inability to prepare or shop for food. And hunger does not feel good. So, I’m grateful for every meal I get, big or small.
