Oh! What God Can Do

Look how God turned it around
Oh! What God can do
Two years ago I was in frowns
As my world came crashing down
Nothing would go right for me
I never knew how sad and hopeless life could be

Sustained by friends encouraging wors
To never give up
inspired by artists songs
That the Lord would deliver
Clinging to preachers messages of hope
Readind His word, and praying more and more
This is how I kept going

And just as I thought I was permanently down
Oh! God turned it around
Oh! What God can do
His mercy is forever, His word so true.

Be A Participator Not Just A Spectator

Raised hands as in praise.

During this pandemic the only church for me has been online or on tv

For most of the months I’ve been just a spectator

But today, the Holy Spirit struck me

When the preacher said clap your hands or pray

The Spirit said “clap your hands”, “bow your head”

And when I did so, I felt the presence of the Lord and Jesus Christ

I felt more joy, like I was not just listening, but actually in church praising God

It reminds of Psalm 47:1 which says

“O clap your hands, all ye people, shout unto God with the voice of triumph”

And Nehemiah 8:6 which says “…Amen, Amen with lifting up of their hands:

and they bowed their heads and worshipped the Lord with their faces to the ground .”

I may not be able to go to the church building

But I can still feel the spirit of collective worship

By being a participator, not just a spectator.

Now I see

Now I see
Why You didn’t answer me
When I prayed
But you delayed
You delayed the blessings for better times
And now I see, now I have an open mind

Some things needed to be straightened out
Before this blessing I received
If I would have gotten it earlier
I wouldn’t have been happy

I didn’t understand all the obstacles that got in the way
But it was Your intention to delay
And now I see
You were protecting me

And You made it better
Than I would have imagined
You blessed me with more than I was asking
It’s better than I thought it would be
You delayed the blessing And now I see.

Scripture Reference
God can bless us beyond our imagination. But His time for the blessing may be different from the time we expect to receive it.
Ephesians 3:20 Says “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”

And Acts 1 :7 says “And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.”
