A Peaceful Night

Having a peaceful night is expected
But shouldn’t be taken for granted
Last night was quiet enough to get some rest
Didn’t have to get up in middle of night for an emergency
Or to defend property or territory
Didn’t get any alerts on the security
Something that seems routine, but they are big blessings

So, at the start of the day
I give the Lord thanks and praise
According to news, many tragedies occurred during night fall
But He protected from them all 1
Having a peaceful night, gives me a clear mind start to the day.

Scripture reference:
1 Psalms 91:7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

The Importance Of Multiple Relationships

Relationships—the more the merrier.
Have as many as you can make
Why?
The more relationships you have, the happier you’ll be
They will help avoid feeling lonely
That means more folks sharing your interests
Keeping you active and engaged in life activities
And helping to make it purposeful to live

So, forge new relationships beyond your family
Smile to show yourself friendly 1
Make yourself available to be reached
Help someone when they are in need
Why?

Because life changes
The same folk will not always be in your life or around
Relationships have a purpose cycle 2
As life and mutual interests change
The need for a friend will always be there
So, having multiple relationships is a treasure.

A Loving Family Matters

I noticed the backgrounds of successful people, not just celebrities but local people who are strong
leaders and good in their crafts. What all of them seem to have in common is a loving family. The make up of a family varies. Some are large, some are small. They can be mixed races or same gender. The bottom line is it is a group of people, (not necessarily blood related) who will show love and support no matter what.

Well, don’t everyone have this? Absolutely not. Some children are born to parents who abuse them.
Some didn’t even stand a chance at a normal, safe life. Some older people are forgotten about or neglected. Some spouses create abusive environments. And then there are families where love is just not pervasive. Not necessarily an environment of abuse, but an environment of just co-existing with minimal love and support.

It’s good to want to achieve and reach your goals or make a positive impact in society. But it is virtually impossible to do it without people in your corner who are going to provide unconditional love and support to you. No matter what good you try to do, there will be folk trying to knock you down by
saying or doing hurtful things. Then there’s the stress and pressure that comes with about any job. Nothing relieves trouble like knowing when you go home, there will be people there waiting to embrace you and love you no matter what happened.
