The Covid 19 pandemic brought many changes to the way we normally live; including the way we held church. When church went virtual, at one point I asked; what are we going to do with all these church clothes? As things got better, churches began to have in person services again but it’s not the same as prior to the pandemic. Services are not as long, auxiliary groups are still meeting online, seats are not filled to capacity, etc.
One thing that is the same, at least for me, is dressing up for church. I still wanna go through the ritual of picking out my best looking clothes and making sure they are color coordinated and of course clean. As it’s a special feeling to look presentable before the Lord in His house. It reminds of the scripture where the Lord told Moses to let the people wash their clothes as the were going before the Lord the next day. So while church service may changed, dressing up for church for me has not.
Scripture reference: Exodus 19:10
And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes.
