The Dis-ease Of The Disease

This thing has the audacity 

To enter into my body

And then proceed to block me

By causing me pain and suffering 

From enjoying everyday and special activities 

How dare you, 

Who invited you in?

You wanna takeaway the foods I like eating 

You wanna limit my activities and mobility 

My quality of life you are diminishing

I pray to God you won’t win

Because imma keep on fighting 

Until you get beat into remission

Until you get knocked out my body

Jesus is the ultimate medicine 

And He will set me  free 

From the dis-ease if the disease 

Where Is God

I once read an article entitled Where is God.  As I was reading it, I reminisced on how I never had to ask that question.   Since I met God decades ago,  He was always in my life.  I mean I not only felt His presence, but He has shown His miraculous ability to solve problems just in the nick of time, again and again.  He’s been very merciful and forgiving.

I couldn’t help but just meditate and give Him Thanks and praise for His faithfulness and His attention to me.  I also wondered like Psalmist, whom am I that God is mindful of me. Why did God take such good care of me?   All I could think of is because I’m His child and He loves me.  He loves me so much that  I never had to ask “Where is God”.

Something To Give God Thanks For

Nothing special is happening today 

Yet there’s something to give God thanks for I say

Did He protect you while in the bed you lay

We’re you able to get out of bed okay

Do you have what you need to start your day

Did He bless you with good weather today 

If the weather is bad, do you have shelter to stay

Do you have a way to earn some pay

Do you have people with you to spend your day

“Unto Thee O Lord do we give thanks” Psalm 75:1 says

Then it thanks God for His wondrous ways

God does something wonderful everyday

Find it in your blessings bouquet 

And give God thanks today 

Don’t let time get away

Everything may not be okay

But still something positive came your way.
